Symantec Norton 360 - Version 3.0 review
I recently purchased Symantec's Norton 360 version 3.0 and decided to test it out and review it. I'm quite impressed with the results and I'm happy to say that Symantec may finally prove that they are one of, if not THE BEST internet security company on the planet.
For one, the speed at which the program loads on Windows Startup, taking only a couple of seconds to load compeletely (unlike the previous version which took some 15 to 20 seconds to get to the same point). The 2009 version is quite obviously lighter all round, however no lack of power in the way it goes about its work. The program has had a total redesign to make it simpler to do the simple tasks!
PROS: My favourite part about Norton 360 Version 3.0 is that ALL updates are 100% totally automatic, so there's no more manual downloading or pre-scheduling! Which I love!!! Scanning the hard drive for infections is unbelievably fast, I was initially concerned that it hadn't done it thoroughly enough, but files counted and results displayed proved that it is just a more superior and quicker piece of software compared to the previous edition.
CONS: The only feature I consider a little confusing to the non computer savvy user is the 'Backup' utility, which presents itself as a problem until you backup your desired files, easy enough for me to understand, but for others out there I know this will seem confusing and maybe a little scary!
RESULT: I rate 2009's Symantec Norton 360 9.7/10 for it's attractive and advanced protection system, secure and beautiful!
